As you can see from the photos above our new Foundation Licence Holders are taking advantage of the clubs equipment.  They had a chance to operate on all of the HF bands under the expert supervision of Frank and Phil.  We look forward to them taking their intermediate and advanced licences soon.  We look forward to hearing them on our Thursday evening  net on VHF/UHF

Banbury Space Studio Big Bang Exhibition 24th November.
We will have a stall at this exhibition and hopefully will enthuse some of the students with the idea of amateur radio.   We need helpers for this event.  If you can help please contact as soon as possible.

Next meeting Weds 22nd November.
Whilst this would normally be a construction night we are using the meeting to check and test out all the kit for the space studio Big Bang Exhibition the following Friday.  Everyone is welcome to help.

On the 29th November there will be no meeting as it is the fifth Wednesday of the month.  On Wednesday 6th December there will be the Clubs Christmas Dinner at the Gate Hangs High.   The next normal club meeting will be on Wednesday 13th December.

Shack Pictures here
We have started the shacks section with pictures from Philip and Pete.  In view of the security questions raised by John G8OXZ we are only identifying them by the first name of the owner.  Hopefully this will make you more confident about sending pictures.  Please let us have some more shack pictures.

There will be the usual Thursday evening net on 144.515 FM relayed on 432.525 FM at 1930. Look forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome to Banbury Amateur Radio Society

We meet regularly on the first and third Wednesday of each month for general club meetings and on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month for contruction projects. On the occasions where there is a fifth Wednesday in the month there is no meeting.

We meet at 169 Bloxham Road, Banbury, OX16 9JU. The clubhouse is at the bottom of the garden. Go through the side gate and walk down the garden. We have a wide range of radio equipment and aerials which club members can use.

We are an informal group and always ready to welcome new members to the club. Come along and give us a try. We run courses for each of the levels of amateur licence when we have enough applicants.  We have three qualified instructors and a huge amount of experience within our membership all of whom will be willing to help you get whatever licence for which you are aiming..
